The air cadets from March recently helped out at the annual Ramsey 1940s weekend. During the weekend the cadets primarily helped out with car parking duties as well as doing other tasks as required by the organising committee.
While not on duty they were able to take a look around at the various displays which included re-enactment groups, stalls selling various 1940’s memorabilia and were also able to enjoy the fly pasts from aircraft of the period.
Cadet Matthew Ward (16) said “The car parking was quite hard work as at times it was really busy. The weekend was good fun though and it was really interesting to take a look at some of the equipment that was used compared to the stuff that is available now.”
