A group of Air Cadets from 1220 (March) Squadron Air Training Corps recently took an educational visit to the Royal Air Force Museum at Hendon.
The visit helped to bring to life some of the classroom learning the cadets have received, and to also help improve their aircraft recognition skills. At the start of the day the cadets were tasked to find the answers to some questions posed by the staff. This made the day challenging as they searched the exhibits to find the answers.
Of particular interest was the Air Cadet exhibition which is on display to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the organisation.
Sergeant Ewan MacRae (17) said ‘it was a fun day out, the best bit was being able to sit in a cockpit and see the controls close up. The 4d cinema was really cool too.’
